Accessibility Statement
EcoDiligence is committed to making our platform usable by the widest possible audience, including people who rely on assistive technologies.

Our commitment
EcoDiligence aims for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, Level AA, on our public marketing pages, sign-up flow, ESG wizard, and public profile pages.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML throughout: proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions (
nav, main, footer), and ARIA labels where structure alone is insufficient. - Visible focus indicators on all interactive controls; full keyboard reachability for the wizard, the navbar, and interactive cards.
- Color contrast tested against WCAG 2.1 AA targets for both light and dark backgrounds in our brand palette.
prefers-reduced-motionrespected — animations and scroll-triggered transitions are disabled when the user has set this preference at the OS level.- A “Skip to main content” link as the first focusable element on every page (WCAG 2.4.1 Bypass Blocks).
- Form fields with explicit labels, error messages tied via
aria-describedby, and inline validation feedback.
Known limitations
We are actively working to improve accessibility, and there are areas where we know we fall short of full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance:
- The PDF ESG Passport export is currently a visual layout. We are working on a tagged, screen-reader-friendly PDF variant.
- Some chart visualizations on profile pages rely on color to distinguish categories; we are adding text labels and patterns as fallbacks.
- The AI bill parser's “review extracted data” step is dense; we are simplifying the layout for screen-reader users.

Formal standards
This statement is informed by WCAG 2.1 (W3C Recommendation) and the EU Web Accessibility Directive (2016/2102). For EU public sector context, EcoDiligence is a private-sector platform and is not subject to public-sector Directive requirements, but we use its substantive guidance as a benchmark.
