For accounting & bookkeeping firms

A client forwarded you a customer's ESG questionnaire.

You don't have a sustainability specialist on staff, and you don't want to build one from scratch for a single request. EcoDiligence gives your firm a finished, standards-aligned framework you can run a client through today — not a blank page you have to design.

What you can and can't deliver with this

Said plainly, both directions — because the fixed question set is exactly what makes it usable without an ESG specialist.

You can deliver

  • A guided, six-step wizard already mapped to VSME and ISSB S2 — nobody on your team needs an ESG background to run a client through it.
  • A public link and PDF your client can hand straight to the customer who asked, plus (on Pro) the EFRAG VSME Digital Template and an XBRL export.
  • Country-aware emission factors and framework-specific badges, so the same wizard produces a locally relevant answer for clients in different countries.

You can't deliver

  • A custom questionnaire per client. It is one fixed question set — you cannot add, remove, or reword fields for a specific client or a specific buyer's form.
  • A drop-in answer to a bespoke buyer spreadsheet. If a customer sent a 40-tab custom template, you are still translating between that and this — the wizard does not read or fill in a third-party file.
  • Independent assurance. Nothing produced here is audited or verified — see below.

Said plainly, not softened

Self-reported. Not independently audited.

Every field in the Passport is what the client told the wizard — nothing is verified, and nothing on the page or the PDF is labeled "audited" or "verified." Data-quality is broken out honestly per field: evidence-supported, self-reported, estimated, or not provided. That distinction matters more to your firm than to most visitors — you are the one whose name is attached if a client's customer later asks who stands behind the number.

Two pages carry that discipline further than the marketing copy on this one: what EcoDiligence doesn't do lists every limitation in one place, and the methodology shows exactly how each figure is calculated and how data-quality labels are assigned. Read both before you put your firm's name behind a client's Passport.

How it works for an accounting firm

  1. 01

Sign up for Pro under your firm's own account.

Start with one client on the Free plan to see the wizard and the output before you commit to Pro.

  2. 02

Create a Passport for each client that asks.

Either you run the six-step wizard yourself during a normal engagement conversation, or send the client the link to complete it themselves — the same fixed question set either way, so nothing depends on which of you fills it in.

  3. 03

Hand the client their link and PDF.

They forward it to the customer who asked, or attach the PDF directly. You keep editing control; clients receive the link and PDF, not a login to edit the record themselves (yet).

Already run ESG advisory as a specialist service, and expect to tailor the intake per client? The consultants & advisors page is written for that role instead of this one.
